We are delighted to share an MQA accreditation visit which has taken place on 31 July 2024 for the programme of Master of Food Studies, School of Food Studies & Gastronomy at our library. The auditors have been briefed by our Librarian, Ms. Sharifah Aqeela.

Accreditation Visit for Master of Education programme

An accreditation visit has been scheduled for a Master of Education programme on 23rd July 2024, in Meeting Room at Block A, Taylor's Lakeside campus. The auditors have been briefed by our Librarian, Ms. Liyana and assisted by Ms. Aqeela.

 

 

 

Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors (PAQS) Accreditation Visit

The Taylor's Library has received an Accreditation Visit by the Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors (PAQS) for the Bachelor of Quantity Surveying (Hons) program. The visit was scheduled for the 22nd of July, 2024. The panel members for the review were Dr. Sandy Tang, HKIS (Chair), Mr. Goh Ngan Hong, SISV, Mr. Lye Kok Kuan, PUJA, and Ts Sr Khoo Sui Lai, RISM. They were given a thorough library tour and briefing by Ms. Fauziatul Alma, with assistance from Ms. Nur Liyana.

Benchmarking Visit from Perpustakaan Al Wathiqu Billah (PWB), Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA)

On July 18th, 2024, Taylor's Library received a benchmarking visit from Perpustakaan Al-Wathiqu Billah (PWB), Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA). The visit commenced at 9:30 am, and the Head Librarian, Ms. Leenawati Razali extended a warm welcome to the esteemed visitors. An accreditation visit has been scheduled for a new programme Doctor of Veterinary Medicine on 16th July 2024, at our Library. The auditors have been briefed by our Librarian, Ms. Asyikin.

RICS Accreditation for Bachelor of Quantity Surveying

The RICS accreditation for the Bachelor of Quantity Surveying (Honours) Programme was scheduled for Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Three review panel members, Mr. Richard Alder, Dr. Amrit Sagoo, and Mr. Nick Inatey, were briefed by Ms. Fauziatul Alma. Moreover, they were provided with a guided tour of the library services, resources and facilities.

Talk: Unlocking Taylor's Library: The Significance of Libraries' Role in the AI Era

Ms. Fauziatul Alma Abdul Rahman, one of the Liaison Librarians, was invited to speak at an event organized by Ms. Indraselvi Pararajasingam, a lecturer from the School of Diploma and Professional Studies. The event, which took place on May 7, 2024, was held at LT20 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Accelerated Deans Leadership Programme

On Monday, May 6th, 2024 at 3:20 p.m., a group of approximately 40 visitors from the ADeL Series #3 visited the library. The group was made up of leaders and deans from the Accelerated Dean's Leadership program organized by UTM and AKEPT, a higher education leadership academy under the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE). The visitors included notable professors from Malaysian public universities and the Academy of Professors in Malaysia.

Taylor’s Library Ideation Workshop

The Taylor's Library recently had an engaging collaboration with the Taylor's University students through the Taylor's Library Ideation Workshop, which was held on 29th April 2024, Monday at the Collaboration and Social Meeting Hub, Level 2, Library from 9.00 am - 12.30 pm.

Eight (8) students participated in this workshop and shared numerous creative and tremendous ideas from their point of view for future library makeovers, and improvements.
