Food & Drink Policy
The purpose of this policy is to maintain cleanliness in the library, prevent damage to collections, furnishing, and equipment, and prevent food odors & insect from disrupting quiet study. Library users may bring in beverages in closed containers such as covered cups and bottles. Drinks are not permitted while using library computers, in computer lab, Mac Lab and Theatrette. Alcoholic drinks are not allowed in the library. Unattended food or drink will be removed and discarded. No outside food is allowed to be brought into the library, whether or not there is any intention to consume it within the library. Food bought from the Library Café must be consumed in the same room (including Collaboration & Social Meeting Hub) There is no food is allowed to be brought in or out of the Library Café, except for beverages with covers. Plates and cutlery to be returned to the café staff to ensure the cleanliness of the Library Café. Library users must immediately report spills to staff. Trash must be disposed of in appropriate containers. Patrons not complying with this policy may be asked to leave the library.
