What is an Inter-library Loan?
Resource sharing from other libraries (external institutions) for books not available in Taylor's library collection. 

Inter-Library Loan is a resource sharing from other libraries (external institutions) for books not available in Taylor's library collection. It is a process to obtain materials that are not available in Taylor’s Library collection. Materials are obtained from libraries in Malaysia (with Sistem Pembekalan Penerbitan membership) as well as foreign institutions through inter-library loan schemes. This service is available for Academic staff and Post-graduate only. Prior to submitting a request, it is important to check the Library’s resources using MulT-search to ensure that the required item is not held at the Taylor’s Library’s collection. If the item is unavailable in Taylor’s Library collections, kindly fill up the Inter-Library Loan Form.
Loan periods vary depending on the policy of the supplying Library. Generally, the loan period is between 2 – 4 weeks. Any request for renewal should be sent via email to interlibrary@taylors.edu.my a week before the due date. All inter-library loan items must be returned to the Lending Services Desk at Taylor's Library.

Guide to Request for an Inter-Library Loan

Visit the Library website and login to Website Login

Select Services > Inter Library Loan

Fill in the details and click Submit

Click Submit

Once the form has been submitted, the requests are processed within 24 hours of receipt; however, the Library is constrained by the response time of the supplying center/agent. Fulfillment will take around 3-7 working days. However, some may take 2-3 weeks, depending on where the items are from. The Library will notify you via email.
