What are the opening hours of the libraries?

Why any of the library isn’t open 24 hours?
At present, we are unable to keep the libraries open for 24 hours, because we do not have sufficient library staff to provide the required assistance and ensure security of the space. However, if you feel that there is a particular service that you would like us to make available after the library is closed, then please send us your feedback using our Feedback Form, or via Facebook.

Where can I find a quiet place to study?
Designated quiet study areas are located at all our libraries, indicated with a signage.  These areas are for students who wish to study without being interrupted or disturbed by noise.

How can I reserve a discussion room in the library?
Library's Discussion Rooms at Lakeside campus (applicable for student only) can be booked online via the Library website and students are allowed to do the advanced booking. Students must use the rooms immediately and ensure to check in and scan their faces within the first 10 minutes of their booking time. If the students don’t turn up and scan their faces 10 minutes after their booking time, the system will automatically cancel the booking.

Can I bring food or drinks into the library?
We only allow drinks in covered containers into the library, in order to avoid damage to our materials, equipment or furniture. Food is strictly prohibited in the library.
